Printable VersionDr. Taha graduated from the American University of Antigua and spent six years in Brooklyn, New York at a busy 711 bed community hospital (Maimonides Medical Center). He received numerous awards including Resident of the Year twice as well as Fellow of the Year in his final year. Dr. Taha helped run a COVID-19 ICU to manage the sickest patients when the pandemic hit Brooklyn. Dr. Taha is also a Co-Medical Director of the Intensive Care Unit. He believes in evidence-based medicine tailored to the individual patient and has special interests in tracheostomies and weaning patients from ventilators after devastating injuries as well as management of the critically ill.
