Alec Macaulay, MD

Dr. Macaulay grew up in Oneonta, NY and attended Cornell University as an undergraduate. He graduated magna cum laude and captained the Varsity Sprint Football team. He attended medical school at Columbia University and then did his five-year Orthopedic Surgical training at the Harvard Orthopaedic Residency program. At Harvard he had the opportunity to work at some of the world’s leading academic medical centers and covered four level-one trauma centers. He then spent an extra year at Harvard to gain further training in complex surgery of the ankle and foot. He has published more than fifteen articles and two book chapters on various orthopedic topics. His clinical interests include both the surgical and non-surgical treatment of athletic injuries, arthritic conditions and musculoskeletal trauma. He specializes in surgery of the knee, ankle and foot.
